We have finished construction on our new church facility, our membership is growing, and our ministries are expanding. Whether it be a Sunday morning worship service, a bus trip to a Billy Graham Crusade or an old fashion ice cream social we are confident you will find the the members of EBC to be a warm and friendly people.
Just as Jesus Christ reached out to all people we strive to do the same at Elizabethtown Baptist Church. We have ministries geared to meet the needs of all age groups. Statement of Ministry\Call
"After having a successful career in professional baseball for eight years and an executive position with Keebler Company for seventeen years I felt God's call to full time Christian service, as I was led by His Holy Spirit. I believe that the greatest call or privilege is to serve the Master in a full time Christian vocation and I have commiteed my life to this purpose. I believe the Bible to be the inspired, infallible Word of God, which tells mankind that the Lord Jesus Christ is the only way in which sinful man can receive forgiveness of sin and pardon from God the Father. I believe that God has given me a desire to share His Word and a concern for hurting people. As I have served the Lord in all of my pastorates, I have seen Him do a great work as the Holy Spirit has affirmed my ministry in each church. OUR NEW CHURCH BUILDING
God has richly blessed Elizabethtown Baptist Church! In January of 2004 construction was completed on what has been an answer to many, many prayers from a great number of people..........a new and permanent church building. The new home for EBC will encompass some 20,000 square feet and is located on 10 acres in the heart of Elizabethtown, Kentucky. It features a 500 seat sanctuary, large fellowship hall with adjacent kitchen area, 2 separate covered drop-off areas, choir practice room, media/library room, and a substantially increased number of Sunday School rooms.
Since children represent our future both the Building Committee and the Architects have incorporated many childrens "needs" into the design and construction of our new church building. These include a children's wing that features a specially designed children's restroom and complete kitchen. Both the nursery and children's classrooms are located in this wing adjacent to the main sanctuary. Please feel free to come by and receive a personal tour of our new facilities.
SPECIAL THANKS TO THE MANY PEOPLE THAT HAVE SPENT THEIR TIME, MONEY, AND TALENTS TO CONTRIBUTE TO THE CONSTRUCTION OF OUR NEW BUILDING. MANY OF YOU HAVE USED YOUR VACATION TIME AND TRAVELED LONG DISTANCES, SPENT TIME AWAY FROM LOVED ONES, SLEPT IN UNFAMILIAR SURROUNDINGS, AND WORKED LONG, HARD DAYS TO BUILD THIS BEAUTIFUL PLACE OF WORSHIP. Team Kids - Ages 4 through 1st grade and 2nd grade through 6th grade
The children read and discuss a Bible Story then participate in games and crafts that correspond to the story. They also participate in certain mission projects such as making and sending birthday cards, get well cards, nursing home visitation, etc. Team Kids meet 5:45 - 7:00 pm Sunday night through the school year.
Childcare - For children birth through 4 years old childcare will be provided in a safe, secure environment during Sunday morning worship. The children are under adult supervision and provided with a large assortment of books, puzzles, toys to occupy their time. The safety of your children is of prime importance to EBC.
Vacation Bible School - Ages 4 through 6th grade EBC follows the theme and materials provided by the Southern Baptist Convention.
Sunday School - Five classes provided: Nursery, Preschool, Grades 1-3, Grades 4-6, Grades 7-12
